April’s Library folk at the Comedy Festival

This month our popular Library folk event is taking a slight detour.

Instead of gathering around for dinner and drinks, we are going to tickle our funny bone. Thats right the International Comedy Festival is in Melbourne again for short time only, so come along and hang with your Library friends for what will a good night if not the best night for 2012 so far.

When: Wednesday 11th April at 6pm Sharp

Where: Meet Ryan and the New Grads Committee at the corner of Little Collins street / Swanston Street, Melbourne.

Due to being a popular event and to make sure we get our tickets on time as there will be queues, we encourage all to meet at the designated spot at the right time so we do not miss out. Feel free to text or call Ryan if you are lost on 0409 020 109.

Please RSVP your attendance and any queries, concerns and requests you may have to to ryansiriwardene@gmail.com by Friday 6th April 2012

Your Choice! QLD NewGrads Social Workshop Event

This year is flying by, soon it’ll be December and perhaps like me, you may feel like you hadn’t quite made the changes you wanted to at the beginning of the year. Things like career planning and management strategies, better productivity and self-organisation habits, or incorporating reflective practice into your professional routine. It’s time to take control….have your say at the next ALIA (QLD) New Graduates event!

Topics to choose from are: –

  • Career planning and management
  • Productivity and time management
  • Reflective Practice

Feel free to suggest a topic!

This event will be social but with a focus on sharing resources in the topic area, ideas, tips and experiences. Participants are encouraged to bring along books, copies of helpful articles, details of any upcoming courses and seminars, etc. This workshop is about bouncing thoughts and ideas off peers, gathering details of resources and learning from others to help kick start your planning and to take action in making adjustments to your professional development.

When: Wednesday 24th August, 6pm

Where: Plough Inn, Southbank

RSVP by Thursday 18th August for your say on the topic. Of course all RSVPs from this date are also welcome.

RSVP to: acrystelle@gmail.com with your topic preference.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Cheers!
